SHUNYA SE SHURUAAT - BY DIGVIJAY SINGH

What is the purpose of writing the book 'Shunya se Shuruaat' and who is the inspiration?
The direct objective of this book is to show the right path to those people who feel that there is nothing special left in their life.  Remember, when one door closes, another opens at the same time, but we look at the closed door with so much intensity that we cannot see the open door.  When my grandmother was 21 years old, my grandfather died.  Her only son died at the age of 33.  She faced a lot of troubles in his life but never gave up.  At the age of 96, she still stands like a rock for us.  She is the inspiration for this book of mine.

How did your passion for reading and writing begin? Which litterateurs influenced you?
Since the beginning, I have been fond of reading books other than the course.  I had read many stories and novels of Munshi Premchand at a very young age.  When I read the literature of Sharat Chandra and Bankim Chandra, my inclination towards writing increased further.  I wrote a lot during my college days, some of which were published and the rest were rejected.

Writers are often born out of love, sorrow and trouble, what are your experiences with this statement?
Your words have some point.  In my childhood, when my father's shadow was gone, I felt that everything was over.  Grandmother again took charge because mother's condition was also not well.  Faced a lot of difficulties from childhood to adolescence.  But Premchand was in front of me like an ideal.  I had learned to be hardworking.  I had learned to stand firm in every situation.  It is true that often writers are born out of love, sorrow and trouble.

Today's generation is spending most of its time digital rather than reading.  Is this generation missing something?
This generation is missing a lot.  When you look at the mountain from above, only greenery is visible but when you go deeper, its real beauty is visible there.  Same thing happens in snorkeling, one person is swimming on the surface and the other person goes into the depth, talks to the fishes and feels the nature.  So by not reading books you have superficial information like a snorkeler but by reading books you are able to delve deeper into the subject.  This brings depth to your life.
