The Comforters

Winter has set in and for some it is not very comforting where temperatures drop to minus degrees and for others it is quiet enjoyable. I personally love this weather, maybe because of the place I live in, where winter means pleasant enjoyable weather. Another reason for loving this weather is that it compels us to look for anything that can keep us warm and cosy. The things that are stored in to come out once a year. The things that help us enjoy our daily activities even in the coolest or coldest of times. Winters are fun if you could simply enjoy yourself whether in activities, celebrations and food of course. We feel great to dress up and we feel comfortable when we have something warm around. Not to miss the bonfires  without which winter cannot be fun.

Comforts are easily available  only if we look for them. We do take them out once a year, we do use our room heaters, blankets, woollens, the fireplace is also lit up and what better way to enjoy the evening with a cup of hot soup, sitting beside the fireplace with soothing music in the background. There is so much around to make us comfortable in every weather. The changes made in closet every year depending in the requirement, is made. At times  there are other things that provide more comfort than what we actually  do use and we also look around for them. You are lucky if you do happen to find one, if not  you need to soothe yourself alone. Remember the cuddle with your dear one which makes you forget all that is around. The holding of hands when you  need not say ,but need someone beside. Remember the arm around your shoulder , holding on to you to make you understand that it will never let you fall. The moment when someone lend you a ear and wiped the tear that came rolling down on your cheek. The little gesture silently made to let you know you are doing great or letting you know everything  will be fine. The hug that made you feel secure and the smile that made  you smile back knowing you were not alone. If you do have all of these or experienced them whenever you felt alone or cold or hesitant or scared, then my friend you don't need the seasons to change to feel comfortable. The concern and care if with you, can make you feel as cosy and as warm throughout the year. These are not looked for nor asked for as they came in unexpectedly  when you need it most. You sit feeling cold when out in the open or you are tired and asleep. Then suddenly you are lent a shawl around or covered with a blanket , with a kiss on the forehead as you sleep. You sit alone with something that you need to share and then suddenly a visit or a call helps you come out with it and you forget how long you have been there. The hands that hold you when you are just about to trip and fall, the surprise gift or cake to make you feel special as you sit alone to celebrate, are these mot comforts that we should feel lucky if we do have. Nothing is more valuable and meaningful if you have these around.

I change my closet every season,I discard what is worn out or not needed but I never need to change these comforters as I know wherever I am and whatever the season they will always be there for me making every season, every moment as enjoyable as I enjoy winter.
